भवं भणन्ति तान्त्रिकास्त्वदाश्रयं
समानमनन्ति वैदिका: सदर्चिते सदाह्वयम्
न कस्चिदर्थभेद एतदाख्ययोर्द्वयोर्भवे-
द्भिदेयमादिमं पदं पुमान्परं नपुंसकं ॥
English Transiliteration ;
Bhavam bhananti taantrikaastvadaashrayam
Samaanamananti vaidikaa: sadarchite sadaahruvyam
Na kaschidarthabheda etadakhyayordvayorbhave-
Dbhideyamaadimam padam pumaanparam napumsakam ||
Meanings ;
Bhavam = Lord Shiva’s name ; bhananti = proclaimed ; taantrikaa = tantrikaas ; tadaashraya = tada + ashraya = at that time + shelter ( poet’s meaning of tada is that when Goddess Parvati is daughter of mountain , Lord Shiva is under the shelter of goddess ) ; tamavyayam = tam + avayayam = that + eternal ( no change ) ; samaanamananti = same till end ; vaidikaa: = vaidikaas ; sadarchite = sada + archite = always + praise = praises always ; sadahvayam = sada + hvayam = always + invoke = always invoke ; na = no ; kaschidarthabheda = kaschit + artha + bheda = certain ( here , some words ) + meaning + difference ; etadaakhyaayordvayorbhave = etad + aakhyayaa + dvaya + bhave = this + named + both + to be = this both named to be ; bhid = differ ; padam = words ; aadimam = former ; pumanparam = latter ; napumsakam = neuter ;
Summary ;
Tantrikas proclaimed that Lord Shiva is called BHAVA when Lord had taken shelter in Devi , who was called eternal purusha . Vaidikas praise him as SAT who always can be invoked . However there is no difference between these two words as the meaning is same except former is masculine and latter is neuter gender grammatically .

स चेद्भवोऽभिधानतो भवान्यसि त्वमव्यये
समीर्यते स सद्यदि त्वमब्ज भण्यसे सती
न तेऽस्ति भावता न शक्तिरूपिणी हि विध्यसे
न वेद्मि कालिके कथं सतोऽसतस्च भिध्यसे ॥

Sa chedbhavo’bhidhaanato bhavanyasi tvamavyaye
Sameeryate sa sadhyadi tvamaja bhanyase sateee
Na te’sti bhaavataa na shaktiruupinee hi vidhyase
Na vedmi kaalike katham sato’satascha bhidhyase ||

Summary ;
O Goddess Amba , you are eternal deity . If Lord Shiva is Bhava , you manifest as Bhavani . If Lord is Sat , you reanimate as Sati . You exists as Sat and Shakti svarupa. Here Poet and I ( author ) believe that , existence and non-existence of Kalika is mithya ( improper ) .

Jagad = universe , vidhaana = possess ; kaaryataa = state of effect ; puraa = long ago ; suraasurastute = sura + asura + stuta = devatas + demons + praise = praised by devatas and demons ; tvamamba = you are Amba ; jeevitam = life; bhavasyabhaava = sentiment of lord Shiva = non existent ( asat ) ; muula = origin ; vaadineem = creater , vikalpa = manifoldness , god ; varjitaa = wanting , deprived ; mati: = intention ; prabodha = awakaning ; rasa: = sentiment ; anapeksha = regardless ; pramoda =bliss ;
Summary ;
Oh Goddess Amba , long ago you were glorified by devas asuras and humans as ‘ life ‘ and ‘ creator of universe ‘ .
You are the creator of consciousness and bliss , awakening of sentiments of people . Here poet explains ‘asat’ as the origin of creation .

Chiti: paraiva sarvadaa’pyanastyajasya tu kriyaa
Chiti paraiva gocharaavabhaasikaa mati: smrutaa
Tritaivamanyathaa chiteschirantanairudeeryate ||

Unmanifested ( split ) supreme consciousness is always assosiated with Action . So chit is a desire when it is united with Bliss . Chit is rememdered by endless universe as wisdom . Wise people recognized chit as Ishvara and declared chit as Action of wisdom .
